Az founded Nudge Factory in 2011 after several years of working in national politics. He leads Nudge Factory’s professional team and maintains oversight on the delivery of all services across Nudge Factory’s client portfolio.
Az founded Nudge Factory in 2011 after several years working for the Conservative Party in the lead up to the 2010 general election where he was instrumental in the design and delivery of Social Action, the precursor to the Big Society. This involved the delivery of local, regional, national and international community-focused projects working with businesses and the voluntary sector. Az has also served as an advisor to members of the government’s cabinet and at two local authorities. Working to the motto “we do difficult” Az has led Nudge Factory to develop and deliver cutting-edge public affairs, communications and community relations strategies for clients ranging from global companies, international finance houses and some of the biggest developers in the world. Az possesses a strong understanding of the legislative process as well as the ways in which opinion is generated and influenced in the Westminster Village especially at Ministerial and Cabinet level.
Az is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, a Freeman of the Guild of Entrpreneurs and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.

David joined Nudge Factory in 2016 and in 2018 was made the firm’s Managing Partner. He leads on Nudge Factory’s public affairs and local government practices.
David joined Nudge Factory in 2016 after spending two years as Head of Policy & Campaigns for a national charity. He has over two decades of experience at some of the most senior levels of national and local politics including as Head of Candidates for the Conservative Party, Deputy Head of Office for the Conservative Group at the London Assembly, and Head of Office to two Members of Parliament. David served as a councillor in a London borough between 1999 and 2002: at the time he was elected he was the youngest councillor in London.
David offers our clients strategic political counsel founded on a rigorously detailed approach to research bolstered by his significant experience of British politics. David’s political background has also seen him lead numerous election campaigns. He has a strong understanding of psephology and electoral law

Carys offers our clients expert strategic political counsel in Nudge Factory’s public affairs practice.
Ahead of joining the Nudge Factory team, Carys built her expertise through a variety of roles, including as Head of Government Affairs for a trade body, running the Financial Conduct Authority’s public affairs team, communications for a refugee rights charity and public affairs for an alcohol health charity. She also currently lectures Masters level students in public affairs and public relations. Carys specialises in public affairs strategy for businesses in the financial world, trade bodies and charities. She also offers bespoke training for those giving evidence to Select Committee hearings – particularly for high-profile, media-intense appearances.
In 2010, Carys ran in Thurrock as a Parliamentary Candidate for the Liberal Democrats. Prior to that, she gained her political spurs in Parliament, firstly as a Researcher to Danny Alexander MP, and later as the Liberal Democrats’ Policy Adviser on the environment, food and rural affairs portfolio. She has also worked abroad in the Republic of Maldives as political consultant to the leader of the Maldivian Democratic Party.
Carys trained as a journalist, holds an MA in Human Rights and is an Accredited Practitioner as a Member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.
Harry joined Nudge Factory in 2018.
Harry is currently undertaking an internship at Nudge Factory. He has been confirmed to study European Politics at Kings College from summer 2018.

Roger offers expert counsel to our clients across Nudge Factory’s local government and private client practices.
Roger joined the Nudge Factory team following 16 years as a Member of the London Assembly. During his time at the GLA, he served as Deputy Mayor of London and Leader of the Conservative Group. Roger stepped down from elected politics in May 2016.
His time as an elected member at the GLA, together with 20 years as a local councillor and as chair of an authority planning committee, gives him the ability to provide clients with genuine insight, advice and counsel on strategic and local planning issues across the UK. He also coaches our local government clients and their teams so that they are best prepared ahead of planning and licensing committees.
Roger further offers specialist coaching for our private client practice in spoken communication. Whether it be speech delivery, debating or political preparation; his background as a trained barrister and his decades in politics gives him expert ability to help our clients with their personal reputation.

Lidia Joined Nudge Factory in 2017 having previously worked as a campaigns officer for an international charity.
During her time in university, Lidia gained experience in the responsible tourism industry. Her course included performing comprehensive research projects and creating management and marketing plans for different size and types of organisations. Lidia then went on to study a Masters degree, focusing on sustainability marketing and the communication of sustainabe approaches of responsible businesses.
Prior to joining Nudge Factory, Lidia created and executed communication strategies to achieve greater support and awareness of ethical tourism issues. She highlighted human rights abuses, promoted better tourism, engaged with the industry and government, spoke up for local communities, collaborated with other civil society organisations and raised awareness of the issues with tourists and industry.

Jivko joined the Nudge Factory team following more than 15 years of local government experience in the fields of economic development and regeneration. He advises our clients in our CSR and social value practice.
Jivko has extensive knowledge of the dynamics governing local authorities and their requirements and aspirations when procuring regeneration schemes and approving new large construction projects. His time at a local authority in London has given him significant experience in Section 106 negotiations, particularly in developing the skills and employment, local supply chain and local benefits expected from each approved development.

Jason joined Nudge Factory in 2017 as a Director working across all of our practices.
Since leaving law school, Jason has worked across politics, public affairs and corporate communications. Prior to joining Nudge Factory, Jason has had a varied career which has taken him from serving as a Political Adviser in a London Borough to working for a Parliamentary Private Secretary and a Government Whip in Westminster. Jason then moved a lead national communications role for one of the world’s largest private sector employers. Most recently, he deputised for the chief executive, with a lead on communications, of a membership organisation promoting supporting the work of magistrates.
His work has included the design and execution of comprehensive internal and external communication strategies. Jason has experience of business-critical communications crisis management in highly sensitive contexts. He has also designed and implemented stakeholder engagement strategies with decision-makers at all levels, including a national campaign which achieved repeated front-page newspaper coverage and a significant change in national government policy.
Jason still remains active in politics across London and has been selected to stand for election as a Councillor in 2018. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
Above all else, Jason offers our clients an in-depth understanding of the difference between strategic and tactical planning with a focus on impactful dissemination of core corporate goals.

Martha joined the Associate Team in 2018, having been an Executive Assistant at Nudge Factory since 2016.
Prior to joining Nudge Factory, Martha gained experience at a not-for-profit creative communications agency, providing research and administrative support.
Martha studied Politics at Swansea University, and Philosophy at Manchester Metropolitan University.

Eric joined Nudge Factory as an Executive Consultant in our Public Affairs and Local Government Practices in 2016.
Eric provides insightful, practical and straight talking strategic counsel and advice to clients across our public affairs and local government practices. His advice ensures our clients engage with the right people, in the right way across town halls, Westminster and Whitehall.
Eric joined the Nudge Factory Team following decades of experience in elected front-line politics. He was the Member of Parliament for Lancaster and Fleetwood between 2010 and 2015. Prior to this, Eric held various elected offices, spanning over two decades in local government: as a local councillor and council leader; a Member of the London Assembly, where he served as Group Leader; a Member of the London Police and Fire Authorities; and as a Member of the former Inner London Education Authority.

Marios is Healys’ Senior Partner. He joined Healys as a partner in 1985 to lead the property team. Marios has been working with Nudge Factory since 2014.
Marios has over 30 years experience as a commercial property lawyer. He has extensive experience of working with foreign investors and developers and understands their commercial requirements and expectations. He has a comprehensive understanding of off shore jurisdictions and works almost exclusively with the firm’s high net worth clients. Marios has been recommended by the Legal 500 in the UK and has been described as “excellent”.

Emma joined Nudge Factory in 2016 and was appointed Company Secretary in 2017.
With a background in administration and land management, Emma brings a practical perspective to managing accounts and administrative aspects of the company.
Jen joined as Nudge Factory’s Creative Director in 2018.
Jen has over 15 years experience within the creative industry; as a designer for a leading fashion label and as a freelance corporate designer. Drawing from a diverse industry background, Jen has gathered a multitude of design, development and production experience.
Jen studied at UMIST in Manchester, achieving a First-Class BSc (Hons) degree in Textile Design & Management.

Lacey Joined Nudge Factory in 2016 having previously worked as a political researcher and policy support officer.
Lacey previously lived in Canada where she worked for the Progressive Conservative Party providing political research and advice at a Provincial level. More recently, she worked in the Office for Civil Society and Innovation within the Cabinet Office, covering Youth Policy, youth honours and the upcoming National Citizenship Service Bill.
Whilst in Canada, Lacey studied Political Science and Economics at the University of Prince Edward Island.

Alex joined the Nudge Factory team as a Consultant Partner in 2017.
Having worked across a range of sectors including retail, residential, energy, waste management and transport, Alex Wilson has significant experience delivering public engagement to support high profile development schemes. He has gained hard-won planning consents in every part of the country and advised some of the biggest names in property – including Sainsbury’s, National Grid, Barratt Homes, Morrisons, Land Securities, High Speed 2, Tesco and Taylor Wimpey.
Alex also has a strong track record in national and local politics. During the 2010 General Election he played a key role in the Conservative Party’s national campaign team, providing expert polling and focus group analysis that contributed directly to the Party’s successful target seats campaign.
On a local level, Alex was elected as councillor in the London Borough of Redbridge where he chaired a number of committees and served as Cabinet member for Planning and Public Protection. He stepped down from the Council at the 2014 elections to concentrate on his career in property and development communications, but remains active in politics across London.
